All Weather Racing
« on: 12 Dec 2017, 08:21 »
Hi
Is there a condition either in MarketLocator or MarketFeeder that ensure the race is an all weather race? Some courses, Kempton for example, have both turf and all weather racing. I can obvioulsy do it manually each morning but this would be easier.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike

As far as I'm aware the betfair api does not include any info as to if the track is all weather or turf, merely what sort of race is being run ie maiden hurdle or national hunt flat etc.

Shame as it would be very useful, but you need to hassle betfair to try and get them to include that info.

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have looked quite extensively and cannot find any way to make this automatic.
You confirm what I thought.

It's not that hard. List the all weather courses in a block joined by OR. You've probably done that already. In the conditions have 3 conditions preventing Market's name from being HRD or CHS or NHF. i.e Market's name does not equal HRD etc. This will eliiminate NH races on the dual courses.

That should be market's name does not contain HRD etc.

Many thanks for that nice simple solution.
Testing tomorrow at Newcastle if the meeting goes ahead.

Hi Jacfin,

You need to be aware with your exclusion system that Southwell and lingfield both have a turf and a poly track that are used for flat races at different times of the year.

Hi
Thanks for that, would not think it would be so difficult.
I will just keep double checking each morning.
