  • New user to this service and when I try and login I get a 'betting restricted location' error.

I can login ok in my normal browser without using the VPS.

Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

I'm on the UK8 server if this makes a difference and I'm in the UK.

    Cheers

  • All sorted, apparently my IP was set to France for some reason?

It's been changed to a different server now and it's all working ok.

  • Hello!
Unfortunately sometimes UK servers can be recognised as having IPs from France. My colleague has replied to your ticket, please check the additional information there.

  • Yes I've been talking to them and he's/she's been really helpful thank you.

May I ask one thing as I think they are assuming I know more about computers than I do

    when explaining something to me.

The process of linking the computer & VPS to transfer files, when I click on the

'local resources' and drives I only have the option of my 'c' drive which it is recommended

not to use. How do I add a 'drive' to use for this?

What does this process do? does it matter if I don't do it?

Sorry for all the questions this is the first time I've used a VPS

    Thank you

  • Jimmy,

    There are 2 options:
    • You can map your C drive ;)
    • You can create a virtual disk of any folder and map it:
    • Go to "My computer" and select from menu "Map network drive"
    • Enter \\127.0.0.1\c$\Users\[USERNAME]\ as network path. Where [USERNAME] is your local Windows username. You can create an empty folder or use existing.
    • Select a drive letter, let's Z
    • Then map this "drive" to the remote RDP session.

  • sorry for jumping on this thread - I may want to use VPS soon due to me being out of the UK - can you install file sharing software like dropbox on there?

  • Hello,

You can install any (legal) software you need.
We don't have access to your VPS after releasing it to you.
