Betfair Session Alert
« on: 02 Dec 2013, 18:32 »
Hey all

Can somebody tell me what to do. I don't know why, but more or less regularly I get a "Betfair Session Alert" after that the program shuts down.

The error: "There is something wrong with your betfair session token. The programm has to reloogin to often"

Any idea what to do? I wrote to the support such a while ago, but no feedback yet ..

Thanks for any help

hi
check the program log for error messages. If there are any API_ERRORS, this means there are technical problems at the server side which we can't help with unfortunately.

Hi
This can also be caused by an unreliable internet connection at your end. It could be worth checking it. www.speedtest.net

hi,
This error keeps popping up for me too. I am using a wireless router and ISP.
Connection is fast but can stall/reset from time to time especially after 3 pm, maybe to do with a lot of kids logging onto the ISP, ie traffic.

Should I change attempts to login on the settings page, currently at 1.

Its a pain having to log out and then log in again, or worse still if not at puter the rest of the day could be wasted.

Hi
The same error is also known to occur if you are monitoring a high number of markets at the same time, e.g. 3pm Sat football markets, and the program may run out of system resources. If you think this may be applicable to your situation, consider reducing the number of concurrently refreshing markets.

The number of login attempts refers to using the command line to start the program.

From your description it does sound like your internet connection, and the program really does need a stable connection to function properly. It might be worth running some tests http://www.netmeter.co.uk/ to check your connection.

Also, you mention around 3pm. Please check you computer does not run any antivirus scans, backups, downloads or intensive system resource applications around that time, as these will certainly be a problem.

Hi Mark,

Yea it can happen when I have both a horserace and one or two ladders open and updating at 0.2sec. I guess that could be it. I will try different settings and watch for a while.
Thanks.
