BF Account problem
« on: 03 Jul 2020, 16:22 »
Hi,
So I have contacted Betfair support and provided pictures and a video, but was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem that I am about to describe.
Basically, on my account, it looks to be stuck in like a delay loop or something as when it goes in-play in markets it flicks between in-play and going inplay status, in play, going inplay, then when, its closed/suspended it flicks between suspended and inplay, suspended and inplay.

I have cleared all my cookies, I have logged in on other devices and have logged in at another location (so a different ISP).

Anyone any ideas/experiences?

Looks like your account has been limited to only being able to view delayed data, possibly because of "commercial usage of data", meaning that you refreshed markets without placing real bets in them.

If you log in to MF Pro and open the market info window, the red text (like on the attached screenshot) will confirm or disprove this theory.
Always try your triggers in Test Mode before switching to real money!

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
See attached - does this confirm?

Do I need to contact Betfair for them to 'unlock' or something?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, BF is not happy when accounts continuously mine their data, without placing any bets.  If you contact them, grovel a bit and promise not to repeat the data mining, they will probably reinstate you.   In practice you can still use Test Mode if you place a few real bets at or above the minimum each day.  If you are contemplating a lot of testing then it is preferable to use Time Machine that runs with data purchased under a BF data licence.

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
