cancel unmatched bets
« on: 18 May 2014, 15:35 »
Hello,

I have a problem with one of my triggers. I'm just playing in-play, so I will give you an example of the problem:

I make a back bet after 15 sec of the start of a race. Sometimes the back bet doesn't get matched at my back price. So now a second trigger kicks in and places a "cancel then  back" bet - and this back bet gets matched. But now my problem: the first back bet still remains under "unmatched bets" and when the odds are against me gets matched too. So now I have two matched back bets and thats not what I wanted. I would like to see that when the first back bet doesn't get matched that it completely erases this unmatched bet.
Could you help me how to solve this problem?

I attached the first two triggers.

Thank you!

Hello,

Could you attach your program log for that day please?

Also, in this case I'd suggest a trigger action "match unmatched back bets", if you want to have the original bet matched at any available price.

I look later in the day for the log file.

Could the problem be because I played mostly with stakes under 2€?

With the "match unmatched back bets" it will only adjust the price of the bet and the stake amount still stays the same, is this correct?
If yes, is there another possibility of matching a unmatched bet where it or you can change the stake amount too, so I can get the same profit with all bets (maybe with an additional trigger expression?).

Thanks in advance.

I found the problem. The reason why sometimes 2 back bets were placed was because I have allowed "small bet" betting. So without small bets my triggers are working fine but I also want to get them right for small bets, so I have some more questions.

When I place a small bet for backing (e.g. amount 0.1) 2 bets getting placed:
- amount 2 with price 1000 and amount 0,1 with current price.
I have allowed stop/loss in the settings menu, so that unmatched bets get matched. That means in worst case both these bets get matched.
How can I avoid to match the bet with price 1000?
Because of the activated stop/loss the bot adjust this bet to the current price and often match it. But I need the stop/loss feature. So is there a solution that despite of the activated stop/loss the "1000 price bet" is not affected by the stop/loss?

Hi delyx,

My response comes later, but still I hope this will help.

The standard Stop-Loss settings will not suit you in this case, exactly because of the reasons you outlined.

What I'd suggest is turning them off and adding a dedicated trigger that would "match unmatched bets" with a specific price range. This way you tell the trigger to apply the action only to the bets within the price range you set, so the ones with prices higher than, let's say, 100 will not get matched.

However, to be on the safe side I would also include a trigger that cancels all unmatched bets after the matching trigger has worked, in case a fraction matched at 1000 is still there in the market.

See an example attached. To edit the price range, click on the "More options" link. I based the "match bets" trigger on the condition that it kicks in after a certain time has passed since the bet was placed, but you can replace it with your own conditions or add more.
