Hi,

I am subscribed to a football picks system, and in order to be able to use the selections, I have to find them through the navigator. Yesterday, there was 24 matches to find, and on busy days like this, it takes a while to do this.

Is there any way that I can perhaps just put a list together and use this to find these matches?

For example, today, I want to lay the correct score at half time in the match between Aguila vs Santa Tecla, LTD between Bournemouth vs Man City, Lay CS at HT between Burnley vs Chelsea, etc etc...

Is it possible that I can do something that will help me in speed to be able to grab only these matches (based on my list), rather than just using the navigator?

Is there a format which I need to use in order to do this task?

Thanks

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Just add this condition to the Market Locator search template:

Market's Name contains values in file [path to the file]

In the file add the keywords from each match on a separate line, e.g.:

Aguila vs Santa Tecla
Bournemouth vs Man City
Burnley vs Chelsea

etc.

Specify the sport type as usual (i.e. Match Odds, Over/Under etc.).

Filter out the unneeded markets manually after the program does the preliminary search.

Hi Santos,

I am sure others will assist, but, I will say its quite easy to do, after Oxa's instructions... Here goes...

1. Open MFP
2. Look at the tabs at the top left, make sure All Markets is the chosen tab
3. At the bottom, click the button labelled 'Add Specific Markets'
4. This pops up the MF Pro Market Locator
5. Depending on your search needs (in this case, football), put a tick in the Countries section which is headed 'Search Internationally'
6. Go across to the Sports section, and then go down to Soccer, and select the market type you want, eg. Correct Score, Half time, Total goals (your choice)
7. Then look at the middle section, further down, headed 'Step 2 - Market Properties' - to the right of that section, click the button named 'Add'
8. from the Object/Property/Condition/Values section
 a. Select Market's from the dropdown list
 b. Select Name from the dropdown list
 c. Select Contains values in file
 d. Click the Values section, and this allows you to browse to the file you wish to select that contains your match selection.

As an example to 'd.' above, you can create a text file called mySelections, in perhaps your C; drive, such as C:\football\mySelections.txt, and use that for your selections file. And you can choose a set of Matches you are interested for today, and so, for example some matches of interest today, would be listed such as

Real Sociedad
Eibar
Aston Villa
Bristol City
Stevenage
Leyton Orient
Walsall
Chesterfield
Bolton
Bristol Rovers
Valencia
Leganes

Now, you may notice that Real Sociedad are actually playing Eibar today, BUT, I can tell you that MFP does not find Real Sociedad, because the match is shown as Sociedad v Eibar... You should cater for this espcially if you get a pick list from an external source...

There are quite a few different ways to do this picking, and even without having a list, you just need to practise with the properties above

Hope that helps..

Mark.

Oh, and before I forget, thanks for the help, Oxa....
