E-mail
« on: Sun, 17 December, 2017, 19:56 »
Hi
Can anybody change this so that the e-mail trigger at the end fires.
I have the e-mail settings saved and working correctly.
Thanks
Mike

Hi
The email trigger's market status should be: settled (and you should not delete settled markets in the settings, at least not the first few)
Your variables need to be enclosed in [square brackets]
If it's the winner name, that should be ["winner_name"]
I suggest in place of [profit_loss] use [market_settled_pl]

Excellent many thanks, I have it working fine now.
Just one last question is there any way to force each variable to a new line on the e-mail
such as
Winner [winner_name]
SP [actual_sp]

Hi
I don't know on that question. I've tried CR LF codes etc. with no success. I agree it would be good to be able to force new lines in the email text. Perhaps Oxa can advise?

Thanks for the reply
If you structure the message as a web page it works for example I put

<html><head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=utf-8"><style>body, p, td {font-family: Arial; font-size: 14pt;}</style></head><body bgcolor="#f0f0f0"><p>
<b>A trigger named Back Selection has been executed. Details of trigger:</p><p>Going to <b>Back at SP</b> on 1 selections:<p>
Liability [back_amount] on [sel_name].
</font></body></html>

So as in web structure you set the header.
Then you can write anything you like with the usual
<p> and <b> instructors you use in web pages.
Then copy and paste the lot into the message box.
