Error: Bet ID 0. bet origin from a country on a restricted event

HI, I am trying to bet on soccer games correct score market from Australia and just get this error message, I'm not aware of any restrictions for australia betting on soccer.

Any ideas anybody.

Nevermind guys, tried placing a bet on betfair site directly and got this message.

Important notice to all Australian members: Please call 13 22 38 to place your in-play bet. We are sorry that we cannot provide in-play betting on this site, but as a result of current Australian Federal law, users who are present in Australia are not allowed to place a bet via the Internet on this sport, when the market is in-play.

Sucks to be OZ then does'nt it..... :-(

If this is about being "present in Australia" vs being an Australian user, i.e. registered from an Aus address, then try a VPN in Netherlands or other EU country, ideasman.

Betfair now sold its stake in the Aus exchange to Crown Resorts Ltd.  It has been so frustrated by Aus legislation that it has given up.

So BF will have shrunk to its original core exchange with no real opportunity for growth in this area.
