From TimeMachine to Betfair live - pitfalls?

I've been developing a trigger for in-play horse racing which I have tested with historical data on Time Machine. Having been satisfied with the result I'm now running MFP in Betfair mode live. 

Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? 

For instance I've noticed that I am getting some unmatched bets, which I wasn't getting at all in TimeMachine.

Yes, in TimeMachine (in test mode to be precision) it's not possible to simulate situation of current amount offer insufficiency.
So if the bet price is "good" enough it's matched in full whatever the current offer and bet amount are.
Due to that in test mode you can't actually affect the market by placing bets.

In additional TimeMachine data has 1 second threshold according to the Historical Data license. And the data doesn't have "all price offers", just 3 "best" each side.

So the results could be different in TimeMachine (test mode), in Test mode (real markets) and Real mode.

I'm wondering if that will affect my profitability significantly. Does anyone else find that?

You may try to tune your triggers to take amounts into account.
For example use MINV(default_backa,back_amount) as bet amount instead of default_backa, etc.
