Hi,
My text files won't open as normal. Instead they open in a text editor mode with an error message on title bar. They are still  . mft extension.
Maybe they changed when downloading new version ??? any ideas how to change them back???
Thanks

Sorry Tim, just realised I had put "text" instead of trigger :)

Try to re-install the app or right click on an mft file, select "Open with..." and select teditor.exe within MF pro folder.

Which "app" ?  MFP or TM ?
I tried second suggestion but I don't want teditor.exe that is what I have now and is a text editor. I need to restore it to the original one whatever that is.
In addition when I click on a trigger file I get a text editor screen up with "error" in the title bar. When I then click 'ok' I get an error message saying protection error 103.
It appears my "user" folder has been locked since downloading either the new version of MFP or TM data from Betfair
Puzzling!!!

Tim,
I tried reinstalling MFP new version but didn't fix the problem. I also notice my text on all the directory trees are slightly larger.
It is a universal change in that if I download trigger files from the net they are immediately converted to text files with the error messages I spoke of.

hi racepro
just rename your mfp downloads with (name) .mft
for some reason you or your software has changed the download extention to maybe .doc , so you need to alter the .doc to .mft

Hi mcbee,

The extensions are .mft they didn't change.
Something changed the way they open.
A couple of trigger files did open correctly but when I tried
the second time the text box opened.
I have attached a file for you to test on your computer.
If it works for you, which it likely will, then the files are
still okay and the problem is with my system.
Thanks

Works fine.

Please try the "right click - open with" routine described earlier.

That is not the problem, unfortunately :(

Hi,
This problem is more serious than I first thought.
I downloaded MFP on a different computer and tried
opening the trigger files and with same outcome.
I have attached the error message and it clearly shows
the "teditor" format as under
Module name: C:\Program Files (x86)\MarketFeeder Pro 7\teditor.exe
When I click "ok" on that error message a further error message appears which reads
title bar "protection error"  error message  "error 103"
The icons appear different on both computers. One has the red arrow through the middle which is not the norm yet on the latest computer it shows the trigger icon minus the red arrow..... which confuses the matter even further.
I'm pulling my hair out, not that there's much to pull out :)
Help much appreciated
Many thanks guys

Are .mft files the only ones affected by this problem?

If you right click and use "open with" then choose default program, is teditor highlighted and can you tick the box = Always use the selected program to open this type of file?

Hi
Windows 7 Ultimate
Downloaded and installed 7.2.0.2 from the download page
Same error as racepro.

Windows System Restore to before 7.2.0.2 install
re-installed pending windows updates

running OK now on 7.2.0.1

Hi,
Sounds like a teething problem with version 7.2.0.2.
Is there a link for 7.2.0.1   ?
Thanks
