help for a newbie please
« on: 16 Jul 2013, 14:06 »
hello,

I'm new to marketfeeder and already fail with my first trigger.

My first trigger condition is:
Favourites Lay Price is greater than 2,50

and when the trigger was running  the favourites Lay price always was greater than 2,50, it always was around 3,00. But the trigger stopped at this point and the log then shows:

15:56:57   Checking market "Greyhound - Todays Card / 15:57 Sund".
15:56:57   Checking condition and Favourite's Lay Price is greater than 2,50.
15:56:57   Condition is: FALSE.
15:56:57   Remaining conditions in the block will not be checked.

It happened even with favourites with odds around 5,00.
Where do I make the mistake?
Would be kind if somebody can help me, please!

Not sure why, but use Favourite as the selection in the main part of the trigger and change your condition to:  Selections Lay Price is greater than 2.5.  If that doesn't work you will need to attach your trigger for us to look at, but you need 5 posts before you can add attachments.

Just noticed you have a comma as the decimal separator in 2.50, is this correct for your location?  Try a .

Does that include changing the decimal separator?   You need to monitor greyhound markets at less than 5 sec before start, to have a reasonable market formed.

thats weird, I changed , to . after you recommended it but it didn't work. Now I tried it again with dot seperator on night horse racings and there the trigger now works great. But the , is usually the seperator here and all odds in marketfeeder have also the , as seperator. But the triggers seem to work with dots.

so thank you rubold, you solved the problem. thank you for your help!

Hi,

The only supported decimal separator for the triggers and trigger expressions in MF Pro is period (dot), not comma.
Always try your triggers in Test Mode before switching to real money!
