  • y = 1.2999e-0.055x is the formula for an exponential trendline in an Excel chart.
    I want to use it in a condition where Y < 1.2999e-0.055x

The -0.055x is 'to the power of' but it disappears when posted

Please can someone show me how do I write it for MFP to interpret it correctly?

    Thanks

  • I had a similar problem and unfortunately it looks like exponential functions are not implemented in MF Pro.

What I did was the following thing:

I plotted data points of the exponential function in OriginPro and found a best fit to the data set using a different power function that does not use e.

  • Hi
if your MFP session is linked to an Excel spreadsheet where the functions are being calculated you can use the cell values in a trigger expression, for example:
selections trigger expression cell_Sheet1_A2 is less than cell_Sheet1_A1

  • Thanks Markv and LiAlH4.
    I'll try your suggestions
