history bet separation
« on: 08 Sep 2011, 19:49 »
hi
is there a way to separate the history bets info.
i can use  hist_1_pl and it gives a total of the last meeting pl
hist_1_backa gives a total of the last meeting
hist_1_backp gives an average of the last meeting bets
i place muliple bets on one meeting
i need to know what won without waiting for the rss feeder to supply the results(sometimes very slowly)
so if i bet 1 on the fav
2 on the 2nd fav
3 on the 3rd fav
it should be simple to use the hist option, but it combines all from one meeting

my brain hurts

If we are talking about real mode the hist_* trigger variables are set when the market is settled, obviously before it appears in RSS. So you don't need to wait for RSS to know the previous p/l.
In test mode the market is settled by MF pro based on the RSS, so it's updated at the same time.

hi
thanks for the reply.
but is there a way of knowing with the trigger, which bet won.
say i place 3 bets one on each fav 1 to 3
how can i set a trigger to recognise which fav won.

can you not ID which trigger is which, and which trigger placed it by varying the stake on each trigger by 1p.           2.01, 2.02, 2.03 etc?
This time next year, we will all be paying Betfair premium charge commission rates!

hi
i could, but there is still no way a trigger can seperate the hist_1_pl/backa/backp.
this should realy be standard information, but for some reason the hist is combined as one bet.
this does need to be sorted out, because if and when betfair decide to start charging for the rss feed, we will be one step ahead.

Unfortunately there is no way to check which bet was placed by which trigger and get p/l for separate bet. It's too heavy for the memory to keep all these bets and create trigger variables for them.
As we know BetFair do not intend to start charging for the RSS service as it's been free for 3 years. To say more, last time it's even better as the results appear more quickly.

hi
thanks.
but i still cannot see why the bets are seperate in the statement, yet we cannot identify the bets seperate with a trigger.
with the bets showing a seperate line, there must be a cell number or something to identify each transaction.

I tried every possible options here but so far, there is still no way to check this. I hope someone could come up with a work around though.

in mfp 6 i used to use the csv action log (i think) ... download betting history from betfair  ... and with an excel vlookup I could tell which triggers made which bets.
Fortune favors the brave!

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
