Importing Selections For Dutching
« on: 19 Mar 2013, 12:39 »
I am new to MFP Lite and need to know when bets are backed before the market closes in auto Dutching mode, and is there a setting for this if so where do find it in MFP Lite?.
Also I imported a list of dog names using notepad and saved this file in the MFP folder.
Do I just click on open after selecting the file in the MFP folder?
Can someone give me step by step  instructions on how to find the races that have these dog names in them and does the bot back these bets automatically if I have the
auto Dutching turned on?.

Cheers,

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
If you have not found it yet, there is a chapter in the manual titled Auto Trading. This should help you. You can also refer to the chapter frequently Used Scenarios, Dutching. There is also some material on the website in the screenshots and videos page.

You can add markets to My Markets manually, or use the Market Locator
Import your selection list by clicking the button at the top of My Markets
Set your settings for the autodutch and turn autodutch on
The bets will be placed as soon as the book percentage is right for the dutch on your selections according to the autodutch settings.

Be aware, dutching might place bets below the minimum. There is a setting in Betting Options to allow small bets. This is fine for test mode, but use caution in real mode not to consistently bet below the minimum.

Thanks for your reply and welcome MarkV.
I found the video very helpful and I like the manual way of selecting bets as described on the video. Now if I select all my Dutch bets on a number of markets and turn on the
auto Dutching will the auto dutching stay on until all the makets have started, to place
all the bets. Because I noticed it turned off after betting on a market?.
Also when I was selecting the bets I had to untick all the selections the the auto selections on the first 3 favorites and I could not see how to turn this off.
As I am using the free Lite version and cannot use triggers I presume I cannot set the
time for the bot to fire off the bets before the off. So I suppose the bot would fire off the Dutch bets once there is sufficient liquidity in the market to place them.
Also I was not aware there was a user's manual to teach me how to use MFP Lite.
Thanks for telling me as I have downloaded the manual and saved it on my PC.
Cheers,

Hi
The manual describes dutching better than I can, but for not stopping after each dutch try the setting shown in the attached screenshot. This will continuously search for dutching opportunities based on your settings. However, if you want to dutch your selections once in each market unattended, I think this can only be done with a trigger. Best thing is to try it out yourself in test mode.

For the auto selections there is a setting on the same settings box in the screenshot. Also refer to Settings > General Options > Market settings > First x selections active for auto trading.

Also if you have done an Import of Selections for Autotrading correctly, only your selections will be active, the others will be greyed out.

As soon as the market conditions are right for the dutch according to your settings, it will fire in the bets. You cannot set a time for this because you do not have the triggers facility, but I would think you have some control based the when you start monitoring the market. For example, if you set the market monitoring to start 5 minutes before the off, the dutch will be fired anytime after that.

Also, if you look at the top-right of the main screen, there should be a button with a yellow question mark. That’s the included manual / help
