  • Hello,
I'm programming triggers to set a target profit per horse race and recovering losing stakes and target profit when a winning horse comes in using MF Pro variable, 'losses'.

However, the losses variable at the end of racing last night was 4 after finishing with 4 losing bets, showing in my MF Pro logs and my actual Betfair account as 4 too but the variable losses is only showing as 3 today wont recover 1 target profit loss.

Funny thing is the total loss for those 4 losing bets is correct but losses variable is 3.

I have the settings right in MF Pro, General Tab, 'Retrieve data that is not older than 1 day' so looks it at previous days losses but its showing losses of 3, not 4 which it should be. I tried that setting at 2 but still the same.

    Any ideas folks?

  • Hi
If you have the setting as:
Retrieve data that is not older than 0 days
the win/lose variables will be only for the current day

  • yes I know that thanks, have it set for 1 day, tried it on 3 and 4 too but losses variable still at 3!

  • The only other thing I can think of is a possible market settling problem / error, or perhaps the program was shut down before the last market was settled?

  • Hello,
No it wasn't, I made a point of waiting until market had settled as I noticed it happening other day.

Also, when I look at 'hist_1_pl' variable it gives a total of 'hist_1_pl'+'hist_2_pl' so one of the history loss variables is disappearing!

  • Hi
From your last post it does seem as if there was a settlement issue.
You have mentioned about the log entries, but
If you were in test mode, please check your statement that all 4 consecutive losses are recorded there as losses.
    or if real mode
perhaps check the results for those 4 events to see if anything was wrong / resettled etc.
If all is in order so far as the events are concerned, I'm sure if you send the statements and your query to support they will look into it for you.

  • Hello,
I was using real money and waited until the market had settled, this has also happened few days before!

  • Hi
I have just run a 20 race test on the losses variable using Time Machine (beta testing) which allows fast replay of historical events.

Some wins and some losses, so a good test. The losses variable looks to be working as it should.
What I can't test is closing down the program and resuming a staking plan the next day, and it seems this is where your problem is occurring. I do suggest you send your query and relevant information to Support.

  • Hi, are the results all showing in your account statement on MFP7? I ask because mine is always wrong, I've re-loaded the programme and tried several different profiles, but it still doesn't record every race that I trade in...  :(

  • Yes all the results were in the statement and showing in my Betfair account but 'losses' variable was 3, when in fact it should of been 4!

I will uninstall and reinstall MF Pro later when racings finished, see how it works tomorrow unless of course it finishes on a winner.

  • Oh right. I'll try that, see what happens.
    Thanks

  • Hi
If you set a constant to hold the value of losses at the end of the day's markets, or update it in the trigger after each market is settled, and set it to "remember last value",
when you start up again the next day, compare the constant to losses.
This should prove if there is a fault with the losses variable.

  • Thats a nice idea thank you, I'll try that after testing the other things first, including reinstall.
    Regards
