Hi

I just signed up for a 2 weeks Trial and was trying to see market data from various markets in excel for further analysis

It seemed to work initially when i click on "launch excel" and it shows the market info at the top but all the price cells etc are blank .  Is this because I am in Test mode or because my version of excel is old (excel 97 or 2000 i think it is) or another reason?

For example:

Idle   Tennis / Group A / Internazionali BNL ditalia 2013 - ATP / Second Round Matches / Youzhny v Simon / Match Odds                     Match Odds
Funds:   51907.05   8907.05   £   Test Funds:   100   places:   1   Winner:      SP and persistence:   NO
Selection   BACK      0   0   0   LAY      Trends   Matched   ID   SP

When i add new markets to "my markets" then they are moved into the same excel sheet but again the market prices etc are blank

For some markets the "market will be displayed in excel" button is available (showing green) and for others it says "market will not be displayed in excel" and is colouored red.

If anyone can explain that would be much appreciated

Also, sorry to ask what seems a stupid question, but how do i log out of the system; i cant see a logout button!  Have searched help file to no avail

Many thanks

I have just found the below which explains a couple of my questions (eg. that the excel sheet fills up with new markets as i add them) so my outstanding questions relate to
1) Why all my market data is blank
2) What determines the colour and status of the "market will/will not be displayed in excel" button

Many thanks

"MF Pro will work with any instance of Excel that is opened at the moment. If no spreadsheets are opened it will create a new workbook automatically and will use it for exchanging data with the application during the whole session. This means you can connect to MF Pro from your own spreadsheets without the need to utilize a special Excel file.

Once a connection between MF Pro and Excel is established the "Launch Excel" button becomes disabled. If there are any markets in "My Markets" list MF Pro will add a separate sheet for each of them. It will load the essential market data into each sheet: name, number of places, scheduled time of start etc. Please remember than market sheets are not deleted together with markets.

Each market sheet will have a special name. It has the following format: "query[market ID]", for example "query124524". Read how to refer to such sheets from inside the triggers in section "Excel-Bound Variables"."

Plus 3) How do i log out, or do i just shut down MFPro in which case no further bets will be executed and all unmatched bets cancelled?

hi
answer to number 3
you have to close/exit the bot
you MUST manually cancel all unmatched bets BEFORE closing/exiting the bot

hi
with the excel, it works with test mode or live mode the same.
at the top right of the bot screen, press Settings, then press Excel.
you need to tick  Add layout to spreadsheets,   Create a sheet for each market and  Display current bets in excel

I have all those options selected (the default settings i think)

When i "launch excel" with a blank excel sheet open (and nothing else open in excel) then it creates a new sheet for each market in "my markets", plus a "bets" sheet.

None of these contain anything other than colourful formatting below row 3 (or row 4 in case of "Bets")

Any suggestions?   Could it be that Excel 97 or 2000 is not compatible?

Hi
If you right-click the market in My Markets you can set an option Don’t Display in Excel. If this is activated, the Excel icon on the market screen is coloured red. The default is Display in Excel. Clicking the button itself has the same toggle action.

In order for the prices and data to be updated in Excel, the market must be started (refreshing) in the program. If the market is not started, press the little blue arrow button under the countdown timer at top right of market screen.

Thanks

OK, i worked out that the market must be started (ie. clicked the play button), and also have the toggle set so as to show it in excel, but it still isnt filling in any figures in the excel spreadsheet which is displaying those markets' titles etc.  This is using Excel Microsoft Office Pro 2000.

I tried similar on a PC with Excel 2007 (after re-downloading software) and it worked a little better but not perfectly

I really need to use excel 2000, so can you tell me if you have any further ideas so i can get it to work?

As i have mentioned i am in test mode

Many thanks

hi
make sure that you are running mfp as administrator
also make sure that mfp has access through your antivirus , firewall and any other malware checking software, because these programs block some information from been transferred.

As far as I know those things you mention shouldnt be stopping me although im not entirely sure how to check them - for example how do I check I am MFP administrator, again i have looked in Manual and there is no mention

It seems odd that the process half works, getting all the data sheets entitled "query109...." set up properly in excel 2000 but then just missing all the market data - I wouldnt guess that was a antivirus type issue as i would guess it wouldnt even start this process if that was the cause??

Also I dont tend to have any problems running other software etc or getting files from bf for example to download into excel

Hopefully Oxa or someone else may have some other ideas otherwise I am snookered

hi
your antivirus/firewall or other malware checking programs see certain actions as an intrusion, so they block that action.
i run avast antivirus, if mfp has not got full access through avast, avast blocks the saving of files, but mfp will look as if running as normal.
again if not running as administrator the saving of certain files are not allowed by your computer because you do not have the permission.
To set as administrator
hover the mouse over the mfp icon on your besktop
right click the mouse button
select properties
select compatibility
tick Run  as administrator

If you’re running any antivirus or firewall software they may block MarketFeeder Pro entirely or partly if not set correctly. Norton Antivirus proved to be very exigent to MarketFeeder Pro up to blocking its work altogether. Other antivirus applications did not show any problems.
So if you’re not sure how to set up your antivirus software you’d better contact our support department before purchasing the application.

I am running Norton 360, so i guess this is a possible cause altho Norton is also running on the other PC that i tried, which worked fairly well in populating excel

Do you have a telephone number or email address to contact your service team to assist with Norton settings etc?

PS  When i got excel to be populated from the other PC then it doesnt seem to show my actual positions on a player anywhere.  i.e. on betfair i win £300 if Day wins (as i have laid other players) but this figure doesnt show anywhere in excel via MFP.  Is this because my MFP is in Test mode or does MFP just not display this info (which would be a big problem for me)?  It does show the £300 figure when i look at the mkt in MFP itself so seems odd that it hasnt added to excel

Selection   Back side      107.44   245191.66   -1         Trends   Matched
Jason Day   13.5   14   14.5   14.5   15   15.5   16   0   0
9.85   34.68   1516.14   313.54   342.17   1251   146.85   79.2   0   0
0   0      1864.36   1.26   1477.05      0   0   0

I have worked out that Col J contains any back or lay amount (correctly 0 in Days case), but i thought col A would contain my actual position of +300 rather than a 9.85&0??

ok thanks, so it looks like there is only the chance to view back and lay stakes on a particular outcome (Day in this case, zero stakes) rather than your P&L on them?  ie. in Days case I get to see nothing of the 300 Profit if he wins....

...And in a player i have laid then i just get to see the back and lay amounts on that player rather than explicit exposure? (ie. just see £100 lay rather than a +100, -2000 type exposure)

on the other point, i will contact support - i have already changed administrator settings and still not working

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
