MFP crashes regularly
« on: 27 Jan 2014, 15:42 »
How can I prevent MFP from crashing?

I run MFP on Windows Server 2008R2 on an Intel Xeon with 1Gb ram. The bot crashes about 3 times a week, usually just before the first race. I have only one instance of MFP running. With the same trigger file, it never crashes on my laptop.

hi,
It may have something to do with only having 1GB ram.
I think 2GB is a minimum requirement.
If you are running 2 instances of MFP it is best to upgrade to 8GB for better performance.
Also check if your internet connection is stable and your antivirus software is allowing MFP.
hope this helps

1) Run market locator continiusly and load markets within 0.2 days
2) Use a script to rerstart MFP if it has crashed

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've changed the market locator settings to run every 4 hours and within 0.2 days. How would I set it to run continuously?

What, exactly is the script to restart MFP? How would I run it?

The system requirements for MFP state 512 MB Ram, I have double that. So it should be enough.

The internet connection is very stable and there is no antivirus or firewall software involved.

the script is from user 1loser and I run it as a .bat file every 30 minutes. MFP_name is the name you give it when creating a shortcut on the desktop.

TASKKILL /F /T /FI "STATUS eq NOT RESPONDING"

tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq feeder7.exe" 2>NUL | find /I /N "feeder7.exe">NUL
IF "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="0" echo Programm is running

IF NOT "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="0" start "" "C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\MFP_name"

Continuously was a poor choice of words - I use 2h/0.2days + startup

I am running the same operating system as you WindowsServer2008R2 (I told racepro earlier I was running Windows 8 - that was wrong it's 2008).

It runs 24/7 for weeks, but I know the script restart MFP once awhile.
