  • Yesterday I changed a setting during a race and MFPro7 crashed.
I tried all afternoon to get it going again, including reinstalling.
Having seen some similar in MFPro 6 I though today would be ok.
No so, as soon as MFPro starts interfacing with Excel it crashes again and again.

    Any suggestions?
    Should I delete the profile?

  • Getting worried.
    Uninstalled 7.0.0.47 and installed 7.0.0.46.
    Same problem?
As soon as it starts to trigger with MSExcel....crash!

  • Ok here we go again.
The Time machine folder was removed long ago and I have since reinstalled 7.0.0.47 and 7.0.0.46.
I tried the put MFPro into test mode, result.
"This option is not supported by Time Machine"
I tried to load markets manually using market locator
"This option is not supported by Time Machine"
How can I still be haunted by the Ghost of Time Machine?

Are there some cache files I need to delete to get MFPro 7 working again?

  • Cleared caches.
    Still crashes.

  • Please send your settings (settings.ini from the current profile) and triggers file to support. Thank you.
  • #7 by Oxa (WellDoneSoft) on 02 Jul 2013
  • londolozi, I will work with you on this through the support then.
  • #8 by londolozi on 02 Jul 2013
  • That would be appreciated Oxa. I'm waiting like a kid at Christmas time to get this fixed.
Obviously MFPro 6 worked ok last night on the UK races. I sent the required files through 0730 GMT

  • hi  londolozi
    select C drive
    select USERS
    select WIN7
    select MarketFeeder Pro 7
look for timemachine.dll , if this is in the file, then take a copy of your triggers (these should be in a different file, but just in case)
now delete the MarketFeeder Pro 7 FOLDER
    re-install v7
you should now be without timemachine

  • I need more time londolozi. I'm sorry to keep you waiting, we had some other emergency cases to work on as well before I saw your topic. I will address your issue as soon as I can.

  • After another clean out (similar to Mcbee's suggestion) recommended by Oxa my problem has been rectified. Just for the record, in case anyone else encounters this problem the fix is below.

I am fairly sure the main issue was a corrupt settings.ini file This was the file I was amending when M7 crashed but is was undetectable. I did have some left over Time Machine files/folders which may have also contributed.

    Fix:
backup  /mlocator  and /triggers remotely and copy back in after new install
Remove all folders with and M7 feeder7.exe and re install latest version.
I created a new profile but if you suspect a profile backup folder and test one at a time
