  • Hello!

    I using this trigger: http://marketfeeder.co.uk/solutions/green-up-hedge/back-under-2-5/
And I try making it work just like this...   http://www.bestbettingadvice.com/backing-under-2-5-goals-for-5-minutes/

My problem is when I tried to change the condition
and Trigger Expression FIND("Under 2.5 Goals","sel_name") is grater than 0

How do I change it so 0=Over 2.5 Goals?
  • #2 by MarkV on 31 Jan 2013
  • Hi
and Trigger Expression FIND("Under 2.5 Goals","sel_name") is greater than 0
is the condition that tells the trigger to back in Under 2.5
    it works the same as:
and selection's name contains "Under 2.5"

    if you change it to:
and Trigger Expression FIND("Over 2.5 Goals","sel_name") is greater than 0
it will back in Over 2.5
and will work the same as:
and selection's name contains "Over 2.5"

If you want to bet like in the betting advice link (under prices are higher), then:
    bet in Under
    but Over must be favourite:

and Trigger Expression FIND("Under 2.5 Goals","sel_name") is greater than 0
and selections rank is greater than 1

  • hi
this trigger will back the under 2.5 IF the under  back price is greater than the over back price, at or less than 1 min before the off time.
then it will greenup 5 mins after the off OR dist loss if there is a goal.
SO after you have found the match to bet on load it or them into the bot. make sure
it will delete any market hat has no bets at inplay
the idle and inplay refresh times alter with the amount of markets been monitored.
that the trigger lamp is green before loading the market.
i have not had time to test the trigger so USE TEST MODE
i did a quick conversion with the v6 triggers so the times of the greenup might be wrong

  • The Over/Under 2.5 goals market has been my market of choice for more than three years so I am very interested in this trigger.  I am still learning MFP and this has given me a good reason to ask a question which others may seem to be answered simply. In the trigger, the percentage profit is set at 1%. Being a greedy person myself, what scope is there for increasing this percentage, please ?

I am running the trigger in two games, one at Shakhar, one at Legia Warsaw, due off in the next thirty minutes.

  • hi
the more you go for the longer you are in the market and the more chance of a goal/the odds going against you.
i had 7 bets with 7 greenups, from 1% to 25% profit after 5% comm.
so just because it is set at 1% does not mean that is all you get.

  • Thanks, McBee. I've never really understood the percentage profit and when I make triggers for horse races I always use ticks.

I rushed into using the trigger and did not realise that I would be betting below minimum stake £1.

    Shaktar game  Green, profit £0.18

Legia game, early goal but no distribution of loss.
So, I've killed the trigger and am going to let my big stake of £ 1 ride :)

  • hi
the dist loss trigger failed due to the timing from v6.
    i have adjusted it .
i use 1 euro for testing, i then know how many points a system/trigger is making.

  • Thanks, this is very useful and I shall play around with it. I ran the trigger again in a later game, at made profit of £ 0.38 for increased stake of £ 20.

Better to pick games with reasonably high liquidity, I think. This trigger would have done well over the last two days.

  • mcbee,

Why do you alter the idle and in-play refresh times in the trigger? Is it due that if there are too many markets monitored that the program will crash, or some other reason?

  • hi
i run 9 bots for greyhounds plus 1 for testing, so i always have the refresh rates at a safe level to avoid betfair charges.
and with football, you do not need fast refresh times because it take 90 secs plus for the market to settle down.

  • The trigger looks great but I cant get it to bet.

If I check the logs this is what I get.
    Program log:
A trigger file C:\Documents and Settings\virtual\Desktop\backing_under_2_5 1 min before the off and green 5 mins after the off.mft has been loaded into the program.

    Trigger logs:
    20:58:26 Checking market "Soccer - Fixtures / Fixtures 31 January / Rapid Vienna v Silkeborg / Over/Under 2.5 Goals".
20:58:26 Refresh rate has been changed from 2.00 to 0.80.

    20:58:37 Checking market "Soccer - Fixtures / Fixtures 31 January / Rapid Vienna v Silkeborg / Over/Under 2.5 Goals".
20:58:37 Refresh rate has been changed from 0.80 to 0.80.

    20:58:47 Checking market "Soccer - Fixtures / Fixtures 31 January / Rapid Vienna v Silkeborg / Over/Under 2.5 Goals".
20:58:47 Refresh rate has been changed from 0.80 to 0.80.

This happend for all the soccergames I load.

Any settings that is wrong in the setting???

I just upgrade from v6.5 and there are some changes that I may have missed.
