problem with cross market trigger

I'm trying to get a trigger to work that backs the sp favourite in the win market in the place market in play. I have
back @ back_price, all matching selections, place markets, keep, inplay
and conditions selections trigger expression winplace_actual_sp not equal to 0
and selections trigger expression winplace_actual_sp is the minimum of all

I am of course monitoring both win and place markets

The trigger log always shows the last expression as false - what am I doing wrong

Please just check if you have load SP prices ticked in the general settings
then have a read of this topic with reference to the type of Place market, I think it's reply#7

I would suggest:
First Matching Selection
Place Markets
once per market
In-play
Conditions:
Markets SP is supported
and Selections Sorting order is defined by winplace_actual_sp

Hi thanks for that, tried your configuration and this didn't give the selection required I'm afraid. Testing again and in the trigger log, I am getting the place market sp returned even when the trigger expression is winplace_actual_sp - See below. This must be a simple enough trigger to sort out but just can't configure it  !

winplace_actual_sp should return a number.
I got similar results to you when testing it. I'll ask support to have a look.

I will double check with live UK races later in the day, but so far I'm getting different results with near SP and far SP, i.e. they are getting recognized correctly.

I understand that the log extract was for the 17:15 Goodwood race of 30/08, and it referred to the place market. Could you please attach the log file for the win market of the same race as well? It should be present there as long as you were refreshing it simultaneously with the place market.

This is all there is for the win market log file, my trigger is set to only back in place markets so even though I'm monitoring both win and place simultaneously the win market won't log anything as it's not the correct market ?

That is correct binsey, and an expected kind of program behaviour.

So, we'll need to dig in further. What happens if you replace winplace_actual_sp with winplace_near_sp and run it right now?

i have tried both your's and marks method/trigger, but they both worked for me, picking and placing a back bet on the favourite.
can you include your trigger so that i can test it (the original please)

i have tested your trigger and it works as it should (i added the names of the fav to the condition list).
i did notice that due to the speed of mfp and the new api, there is a split second after in-play that the sp is not formed, so giving incorrect sp values.
to stop this from happening you need to add the condition
and markets minutes since the off is equal or greater than .05
this will give the sp prices time to form, .05 is about 3 seconds
also please create a new profile in the login screen.
