  • Hello alfaman,

you select the profile on login screen of version 7. There is a pulldown box with all valid profiles in the middle of login screen.

  • Thanks Martin

(as I was opening it with a "Command Line" shortcut on the desktop I was not seeing that.)

Alfaman, you can create a new shortcut with the selected settings profile and launch the second copy from that shortcut.

It may take some time for the program to load. It depends on the speed of response from BetFair which may be overloaded at the moment. Please wait.

Sorry for this (really awkward, don't know how it happened). The manual has now been replaced.

  • Re the running of the multiple V7 platforms the below suggestion by MARKV works like a dream
Or, just create a new profile called instance2 (or whatever you want to call it) and manually set all the settings again.
Now you can start the first instance with the ‘default’ profile
and start the second instance with the ‘instance2’ profile

Because I set up speed log in for V6 it never occurred to me to change the profile on the log in screen.   SO EASY AS WELL! JUST TO CLARIFY...................... Simply hit the green plus button on the log in screen, enter the new name for the bot you want the run and then log that bot in. Once you have done this you can create the speed log in as in V6 in the settings. This saves time entering username and password every time.
I now have 4 instances all happily running together with no problem.
    Thanks for that MarkV

  • OXA please confirm
several copies of the program can be started from the same single installation on your computer (each using a different profile), or must each copy of the program have a separate installation in a separate folder on the computer? i.e. does MF Pro only need to be installed once?

  • MarkV,
you need only 1 installation of MFPro7. You can run many instances of MFPro7, but each one using a different differnt profile. Never run 2 instances using the same profile!

I switched to MFPro 7 last week and run up to 4 instances with 4 different profiles. No problems with multiple instances if used in this way.

Re the above quote, this morning when running just two V7 bots simultaneously we got our first crash. neither bot was conflicting with the other as both were on different accounts and both running seperate instances.

First was the warning "the handle is invalid" followed by "out of system resources"
The second is puzzling as i had re booted only 20 minutes previously and the PC can easily run 5 V6 bots with no effort or load on the CPU.
before the crash the platform was clearly unstable, and generating a flickering look.
Dissapointing as i thought it was running nicely yesterday.  ::)

  • betfair winner,

sorry, my last post was misleading. When I write, "no problem with multiple instances", this does not mean that there are no problems with MFPro7. :(    I should better write "multiple instances do not cause additional problems" .

After my first excitement with the new version, I find some issues that are worse than in V6.   :(   I need some time to collect problems and send problem reports to support...

  • does MF Pro only need to be installed once?

MF Pro must be installed only once. But each copy must be launched with a different settings profile.
