quick question re: warning pop ups
« on: 11 Jul 2015, 02:08 »
Hi, just moved MF to my laptop and I am getting these popups each time I click auto dutching and switch from test mode on to off. How do I get rid of these?

BTW, I have DEFINITELY unticked the box in settings that asks if I want confirmation for every critical operation. I just can't work out how to get rid of them.

Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Please attach the screenshot of your General Settings and another one with the actual popup message.

You still get pop ups for auto dutching and test mode to real mode it is just extra security Colin

On my pc I don't get the warning about auto dutching. I do get the one about test mode being turned off but I don't want either.

See attached word doc, I couldn't paste the screen shot on this forum

Hi,

The version on your PC is maybe a previous version, hence no popup for auto-greenup.

The popup for real or test mode is a vital one imo.

You are right about it being a previous version, although it would only be a month or two old and laptop is definitely the latest version of MF.

I understand the safety aspect of these popups but surely they are optional. I am constantly switching between test mode and also hitting autodutch. Basically the one click betting feature has been taken away with this forced safety aspect.

If anyone can suggest how to get rid of these annoying popups I would be grateful.

hi
go to the top right corner of your bot screen, now select the icon below the yellow question mark, untick  WARNINGS and HELP and TIPS.

Thanks for the reply but that does not work. Have unticked all three of those, restarted MF and still get the popups.

Does everyone get the popups? It's only really autodutch and Real/test mode that I am toggling atm.

Hi,

I think the pop-ups are here to stay and I am happy with that overall. Yes it is slightly annoying, but far, far less annoying that making a mistake in real mode.

I am not sure what your strategy is, but if what you are doing is something similar to: testing on a race, then when you see what you want from the test bets, then switch to real and do the bets again live with the auto-dutch.That would not work for me, its only a matter of time until real bets are either missed or placed in error.

If that is somewhere near what you are doing, then I can see why the pop-ups inhibit the process. Imo, you could write a trigger to implement the same strategy and bets. It would be easier long term on you, less errors and quicker.

Spot on Larp, exactly what I'm doing. I trust my judgement atm and it is working well. I am in the process of writing triggers but no way I trust them enough.

I am OK with making a mistake or missing a bet...anyway, unless someone shows how to avoid popups I might be stuck with two click betting. (or in my case four click cos I check it in test mode first)
