Reinstallation procedure
« on: 28 Feb 2017, 18:15 »
Hi Guys,

I eventually got around to trying a reinstall of MarketFeeder.

I backed up the contents of the MF folder in my account folder.
After doing an uninstall I checked there were no related files in the "Program Files(x86)" folder.
I did a new install of MF.
I copied the User account stuff back (with the exception of the timemachine dbs).

Running MF now I still have a problem with the Account Statement. Program Log and Trigger Logs seem to work, but there is still an entry showing in the Account Statement since before the reinstall, and no new bets appear in there.

Is there something else I need to be clearing out during the reinstall?

Ah, I see...

So perhaps I didn't need a reinstall, and just had to empty out each of the log folders. ::)

I'll see how it goes tomorrow...

Thanks!

So much for that idea...

There's still nothing being written to the account statement.

Hiya,

I was using Comodo Dragon (a Chrome derivative), but it's the same on Firefox.

Also, I just looked in the account logs (now you've told me where to look!) and the folders are empty.

hi
make sure that you are running mfp as administrator.
also give mfp full access through your firewall, antivirus and any other software that could block mfp frpm communicating with the log files.
you could have saved some time by starting the topic with account statement not updating etc.

hi mcbee,

I was realistically continuing on from this thread:

https://community.welldonesoft.com/marketfeeder-troubleshooting/strange-results-in-account-report/msg54162/#msg54162

but as it appeared to have gone quiet (waiting for me, probably) I started a new one...

My Antivirus is just that, AV and nothing else. Disabling it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I am on an account with Admin access, not THE Admin account.
Windows firewall has a mind of its own! It stops things in the allow list, and doesn't tell you (even though it says it will!); but I'll try turning that off as well, and see what happens...
