Scheduler not working?

Hi,

I set the "exactly at this time every day:hh/mm/ss to 11:00:00" scheduler option in the "Monitoring Options" tab so MFP7.2 would load my markets whilst I was away for a couple of days and the Program logs suggest nothing happened for the days I was away!  I manually loaded the markets on Monday and hoped it would do its stuff automatically Tuesday onwards.

I set it again last night to 07:00:00 and again nothing has happened (PC clock shows 08:00:01).  I have had to load the markets manually.

And yes, a market locator template is specified in the Scheduled Market Search path box.  (See attachment for screen shot)

I assumed this feature would automatically load my markets such that the program would run autonomously without me having to manually kick it off......

i have to ask these questions.
do you leave your computer swithed on 24 hrs a day.
do you leave marketfeeder pro running 24 hrs a day.

It's better to enter 07:00 because of the checking period.

Really  :o?  How else would it work if if neither is running 24/7?

However, in answer to the specific questions asked:

Yes, PC running 24/7
Yes, MFP running 24/7

The field for the scheduler time will only accept time values in the form of hh:mm:ss.
This is in reply to a comment to set it to 07:00 - MFP won't accept that as a value

we have to start at the beginning, so that we can find the answer.
some user's have laptops and close the lid without changing the instructions not to put the computer to sleep etc.
what mfp version are you using so that i can check your version is working ok.

Hi Mcbee,

Okay.  The situation is as follows.

MFP7.2 running 24/7 on a laptop with Windows 7 (which is regularly updated as per Microsoft's "updates are available").  Laptop lid always left open and running off mains lead.  The screen will blank after 5 minutes or so.  Moving the mouse always relights the screen.  MFP always runs my triggers under these conditions.  I kick it off in the morning before work and analyse the results in the evening.  Machine left running 24/7 (apart from the occassional re-boot).  So everything else works great - it's just the scheduler doesn't appear to.

Sussed it!

The log file for the first day actually contains all the log data for the following days as well.

So whilst the "Program Logs" window only offers "Monday, 8 September 2014", it actually contains the data for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.

So the schedular is working  :); it's the logging that isn't differentiating between the different days when left running for 24/7 over several days!
