separating logs
« on: 21 Sep 2015, 11:18 »
Hi,

I have a couple of strategies running, and I have setup separate profiles for them, and I initially ran these strategies in test mode, and after filtering out the bad from the good, I have ended up with 2, and I think I may have a 3rd, but for now, I have been using the 2 strategies in live mode.

The problem I am having is that when I observe the strategies by clicking the statement link at the top of each, There is no separate logs, it shows every selection profit and loss, which makes it impossible to separate them out. So I have no way of having a proper log for each of them.

Is there any way that I can do this without trawling through everything and having to do it manually?

Previous bots I have used all have this feature where there are separate strategies. My personal opinion of MFP is that it is probably the best and most reliable one I have ever used, and because of that I want to keep using it, but it does of course involve a lot more effort to get it to do what I want. So my next challenge is to see how I can separate out these logs, hopefully directly through MFP?

Any help or suggestions?

Thanks

Mark.

Hi
A similar topic here http://community.welldonesoft.com/troubleshooting-8/bet-statements/msg45648/?topicseen#msg45648
If you use slightly different bet amounts for the strategies, you can export the account statement to Excel and sort by bet amount there.
Settings > Excel > Export Account Statement to this sheet ...

Hi
Just click Launch Excel at top-right of main screen. It will export your real and test statements to Excel according to your statement settings.

when you look at your statement in your browser window, there is a button to press that allows you to save it to your computer.  It saves in csv format that any spreadsheet can read.  If you get in the habit of saving your results at the end of each day, then you can build up a daily record that is very useful for any future analysis you might want to do.
