Staking plan on excel
« on: 27 Dec 2013, 21:36 »
Hi all! I'm a beginner and i'm trying to understand something about market feeder. From two days I read and I am looking for answers in previous topic but i think i don't have clear which is the best way to do the trigger.

I have my spreadsheet in excel with my staking plan. This staking plan may have some modification so i prefer to work it in excel that is easier for me.

The spreadsheet is very simple: at the first column i would put the id to identify the placed bet, at the second column i have the amount of the stake to be placed, at the third i need to set the price of the favourite (this parameter is used to calculate the amount of the stake), at the fourth column the result, if win or loss.

So what i would to do is:
1 min before the start of the race start to monitor market and 30 sec before the start mf must place the bet (writing before the price in excel, and placing the bet with calculated stake amount in excel). After the bet is placed must be stopped the monitoring of the market.

All the bets placed must be inserted in consecutive row in the same spreadsheet.

To do this trigger, do i have to write a piece of code in vba? Do i have to declare user variables? can someone give me a suggestion? Just to know what read and look in previous topic.

Thank you very much!
C.

Hi
Welcome to the forum.

I think what you are wanting is much easier to do using just a trigger and not linking to Excel, but I am attaching some files which should help you with doing it through Excel.

The Excel file contains:
examples of some Market sheets generated by MarketFeeder
a Current Bets sheet
Sheet1 contains 2 values which are used in the attached trigger file.

The trigger file demonstrates placing a bet based on a value in a cell e.g. back amount = Sheet1!A2
and also a trigger condition based on a cell value

Hope this helps. Please use test mode when trying the trigger.

Hi
The .mft file is an example trigger file to demonstrate betting from Excel.
The .mft file is opened using the program.
Here is a link to download a pdf copy of the manual http://marketfeeder.co.uk/download/MF7_manual_eng.pdf
Please refer to the section: Getting Started > Creating your first trigger
this will show you how to edit and load trigger files.

I have made a screenshot of the above trigger file so you can see the contents. Please see attached.

edit: if you are using the program to open the trigger files, and you can only open .xml files, you are not using the latest version. Please download the latest version (7.1.0.9) here: http://marketfeeder.co.uk/buy/
