Strange Drop in Odds
« on: 05 Sep 2012, 08:27 »
Hi,

A friend and I have exprienced some weird drop in odds, that seem to come out of nowhere. (especially Soccer Markets)
for example, if I wanna back at the current back price whatever selections after the price has risen, it sometimes (not always!) backs at 1.02 or some other silly price.
(allthough the price was at say 6 and returns to 6 right afer my bet was placed)

has anybody else experienced this?

the minimum Liquidity is 5000, so I assume, I can place a 2€ bet.

??? ???

Hi
Meet the stop-loss searching bot. You can see this quite often in Financial 20min markets, and other relatively low liquidity markets. The same happens on the lay side. The price you offer or bid should be within a reasonable range of LTP, and you can add other checks like back_price2 is within x ticks of back_price, or g_ticks(back_price, lay_price) is less than x ticks etc.
