Strange happenings

So I set MF up for the day with the selections that I want to trade on.
When I come back to the laptop later on in the day I find the selections are sort of greyed out and the status says “Finished” despite the race having not yet started. 
I’m missing out of a ton of selections I think. 
Any ideas folks?

There are a number of issues currently affecting MF, the problem you describe being one. If you have a look at recent forum posts you will see more info. Hopefully support will sort these things soon.

Yes, I confirm that this problem has recently started happening in some markets. They can be changed to "finished" without any particular reason and then resumed, if a BetFair operator decides to delete a market and re-create it from a scratch, due to some mistake in the original market description.

Also, on some occasions, the exchange may not return a response to MF Pro's attempt to refresh a market, and in that case MF Pro thinks the market is finished.

We can tackle the latter (with the forthcoming update), but not the former I'm afraid.

Thanks for your post Oxa.  In my case, either all the remaining greyhound markets become greyed out, or a shorter block of markets, followed by another block that will refresh at the appropriate time.  This is totally random and MfPro is not attempting to refresh any of the greyed out markets, so must be unaware of the BF operator closing and reinstating them?

This is a complex problem then, and one we're working on together with BetFair. Hopefully, we'll find some solution shortly. I will update everyone in the Announcement section once we have something to report.

All greyhound markets functional today.  As a temporary measure I have set ML to search for 0.1 days ahead and Sheduled Market Search to run  exactly on the hour and half hour to try and eliminate the problem of blocks of markets greying out on a random basis.  This is OK as greyhound races never start  exactly on the hour or half hour.

I have, however, noticed that some markets are failing to refresh at the requested rate (2 sec) and seem to stall requiring the refresh button to be pressed a few times.  Again this seems to occur on a random basis.  I had seen this in the past but not since I started running MFPro on my VPS.  Overall not a major problem at the moment, as there are loads of markets to bet on with the old dogs.

Just to report, greyhound problems from the past couple of days seem to have resolved.  No blocks of greyed out markets and the stalled refresh on a few markets disappeared completely.  I only observed a couple of zero funds episodes, but hasn't affected any betting.

I am still seeing the greyed out and not refreshing issue with greyhound markets this evening.
Two instances of MFP running, one is refreshing and one isn't (both in test mode).
The one that has stopped stopped after the 20:46 Yarmouth race this evening.
Everything before then seemed to have been okay.
Odd that one instance has "stalled" and one hasn't.
Both instances have been running for several days with the markets autoloading via the scheduler.
Will reboot both instances in about a/2 hour and try again tomorrow.

No issue with the funds observed.
