  • Hi I have been using version 6 for years with auto dutching and never had a problem I have upgraded to 7 because I know from nov 1 that I will have to upgrade, but to be honest version 7 is hopeless compared to 6 when auto ditching nothing gets matched, does anyone know why 6 is so much faster than 7 thanks Colin

  • hi
v7 should be faster than v6.
make sure that you have set the request limit to between 15 and 20
also set your refresh rate to .30

  • Ok thanks it seems to be better when I monitor less markets at the same time. What should the limit be for monitoring markets as I have up to 20 being monitored at the same time. thanks Colin

  • Coling, that's a typical reaction to new software or new versions of the same software, I am myself like that. Unfortunately we have to move on, the sooner the better, as the BetFair's clock is ticking.

Actually, 20 markets refreshing simultaneously is a lot. There is no way you can refresh them even once per second without exposing yourself to fines for excessive requests. In fact, I'm surprised that you still haven't been contacted by BetFair with regards to this.

MF pro 7 will limit your requests in order to keep you on the safe side, that is why you perceive it as slow.

The good news is that MF Pro 8 will not have these limits, as it is based on the new API-NG.

  • That's fine so with version 8 will we be able to run more than one profile at a time without data charges.?

  • Yes, as it seems now, although I can't give you a guarantee that they won't introduce a new limitation scheme in the future.
