Wrong bet persistance
« on: 30 Dec 2014, 19:09 »
Hi,
I created a couple of triggers for placing bets on in play soccer. Bets are placed correctly, but persistence is always  "cancel" , although I set "keep" when created trigger. So bets are always canceled when goal is scored or red card shown, and I don't want to be canceled.  Anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks.

Does the market support bet persistence?

It is correct score market.  I only know that "keep" is not supported on Total goals markets, but do you know any other market with that limitation on soccer? On old API I used similar strategy(with different bf software) and haven't any problems with that. Is something changed on new API?
Thank you.

Hello,

I'm not sure about the older API (I think it was the same), but anyway currently bet persistence does not apply to markets that are already In-Play.

Hi Oxa,
You want to say that it is not possible to place bet in-play with "keep" option? Can that be fixed? I can't use MFP without that option  :-\  I am 100% sure that this was possible on old API (with other app) and I used that regularly, not sure how is now, but looking on markets  it seems that is still possible. If betfair allow that, can you tell me where is problem then?
Thanks.

I think it's possible with other software as well as MF pro with checking if the bet was cancelled/voided and re-sending the bet. Probably the other software does it without any user actions but with MF you have to write a trigger.

Not sure how that process going, but I know that some of my bets with "keep" option was on market without canceling and resending during suspension(bet number remain same and time of placing pets). I intended to take 2 year subscription before promotion expiring, but this problem change situation. Can you make to "keep" become active during in play, without resending bet during suspension? I will pay for that if necessary.
Thanks.

I am not certain that the keep option is working before play in uk horse racing markets either - I have had to change all my triggers to cancel.

There have been a few versions of V8 since I tested it.

I am not sure about horse racing, but on football that is possible. Developers just need to fix that if they want (hopefully before subscription promotion run out).

OK, I tend to stick to the idea that bet persistence is NOT available for markets that are already In-Play. It is available for those that have not turned In-Play yet. But maybe we're referring to different issues.

Please see the two screenshots attached. One is for an Idle market (I.e. waiting to be started). You can see the persistence options marked with a red rectangle on the right side. The other one is for an In-Play market (the score and match time is visible), and contrary to the idle market, you can NOT see the persistence options there, which means your unmatched bet placed at that moment can only be cancelled. The screenshots are taken from the BetFair web site (obviously).

What exactly is missing in MF Pro?

Hi Oxa,
I see that situation is same on site and on MFP. But look at this picture. That is bfexplorer app for betfair, you already heard for that probably. When setting bot for placing bet, you have option AtInPlayKeepBet(highlighted). When checked, bot place bet with option "keep" regardless market is idle or in play already(bet is kept on market until match finished, if not matched earlier). That is not available only on Total goals markets, because, betfair doesn't allow "keep bet" on that type of markets. Any explanation how is that possible in this case?
Thank you.

hi,
Oxa already told here that looking on betfair site that is not possible, but if other developers can make this with their software, I assume that there must be some programmable solution to make this possible through API .

hi
you can change the bet to KEEP by changing it in the unmatched screen.

hi,
I know that I can change that, but I look to make automated system for many matches, so I can not monitor all markets , and change bet persistence every time.

Please note, BetFair is seems to be currently OFFLINE
