Triggered betting / Trigger to Import Live Selections

I would like to know if its possible to place inplay bets in football matches without a set of rules/triggers.
My goal is to automate my picks strategy. But the selections of the matches to bet only occur inplay. So the info i can provide is:
.Name of the match:"Team A vs Team B"
.Type of bet "Fulltime Asian Handicap +1.0 Team A",
.Odd "x.xxx"
I just have an excel/VBA trigger that highlight's me the specific game, bet (Fulltime Handicap or overs), and odd during inplay games.

Firstly check the following setting is un-ticked:
Betting Options > Ignore all bets except those placed in the current MF Pro profile
Both Win and Place markets must be in My Markets and refreshing.
In the trigger for laying in the Place market use this condition:
and selections trigger expression winplace_lay_matched is greater than 0
this will find selection(s) in the Win market that have a matched lay bet (from any source) and will activate the laying trigger on the same selection in the Place market

How do I go about creating a trigger that places a bet on the same selection that was backed or layed on the Betfair website or app, but different market (i.e. place instead of win market in horse racing)?
So if I use the Betfair app and place a lay bet on Horse X in the Win Market, I want the trigger to pick up on the selection and lay it in the Place Market.
Please advise.

Just to make it clear: you will always need the Win market alongside any Place or TBP market in order to calculate the market_length value correctly, as that one is taken from the market name. However I see that the problem is, if the win market is added after the place one, the distance is not picked up correctly, and that's something I will fix.

Yes you are correct, I have replicated the issue you describe.
If you do an initial Market Locator search for Win markets only and load those markets, and then do separate Market Locator searches for Place, TBP, AvB etc., market_length and market_distance are shown correctly for all markets. If a combined search and load is done then these variables become intermittent. So separate searches is a workaround for the moment.
I have let support know by opening a support ticket for this and linked to this topic for their reference.

In the first image the Win and TBP were located and added in separate and exclusive searches. Race length/duration are present in the two bottom right boxes. In the second example Win and TBP were both located and added in the same search, and the data is null.

If running Win and Place markets separately, i.e. Locate Win -> Add Win, then Locate Place -> Add Place, both Win and Place markets correctly report market_length. If running Locate Win+Place -> Add Win+Place, it came back with some missing market_length values.
It's a little too early in the day to check the effect of AvB as those markets aren't created much before midday, but I'd assume including those markets exacerbates the issue.
I don't normally add markets until ten minutes before the first race (or at this time of year, until two minutes after the start of the first race
)
