Time Machine - Testing Method
« on: 14 Nov 2010, 15:51 »
GREAT software....i have just spent the weekend doing "sims" on my triggers. I am just wondering - how many days you guys "test" your sims? I have run "sims" for like 15 days and I am getting ridiculous liability amounts. If I run the "sims" for only 1 days, the liability amount are reasonable.

any thoughts?

before i let a trigger loose with real money i test it over 3 months data

this gives the opportunity to tweak it in the places where the bets get a bit out of hand

Chancer do you have a trigger and a strategy that is actually working then? Please see my post about sharing triggers. I have a good strategy that works, but it's about getting out of the market at the correct time, have you devised a good way to do this?
