  • >: Without any warning, my account has been closed. No explanation, nothing from tech support - " I'm sorry sir I cannot divulge why. That's all the information I can give currently. " I've been using test mode in MF Pro and placing the odd bet here and there. Haven't won anything for ages. WTF??!! I'm not happy(

  • Sorry to hear that

If you have duplicate accounts or accounts emanating from the same IP address, perhaps they picked up on that.

Other than that, I cannot think of an explanation!

  • nothing, just one account, I have a VPS running MF Pro.
No duplicate accounts, I'm not trying to do anything other than run a staking plan. Use the same account doing the same thing I have done for years.

I place bets every now and then, I keep the refresh rate slow, who knows.

Well if they don't want my money, f**k em.

  • Hi,

I can only think they don't like your VPS. If you are based in Australia for example and trying to bet in play from a server in the UK then that may be a reason. I really don't know all the facts and hard to comment, also not knowing the Betfair account rules. IP addresses are what
they look for. There's no need for you to disclose where you are betting from on this forum.
Did you not have any warnings ? or any other correspondence from them prior to the closure ?
It is maddening after all the work you probably have put it. It sickens me that they have the option to hide behind the "discretion" mask.

  • They will close accounts if there is a lot of data use without placing any bets, such as when doing live testing.  When testing it is safer if you place a few real bets each day to keep your account under the radar.
