  • Hi All, just wondering if anyone can help me here. Id love to be able to download / extract recent historical form data for greyhound racing.

For example, the data on the greyhound racing form section on betfair (I cant post the link for some reason).

Id love to be able to download the data to a database or spreadsheet so I can easily analyse it however I see fit. I know I could just copy and paste the data from the web site and paste it to a spreadsheet but that is a massive ball ache to do for every race, everyday.

Perhaps there is some trick to accessing historical form data in marketfeeder that im just not aware of?

    Thanks for any advice.

  • Nope, the data is sold as part of TimeMachine only.
    License restrictions, sorry.

  • What data do you need?
It has best prices, amounts recorded with following refresh rate:
    - Up to 30 minutes before the off: 1 sec
    - In-Play: 0.5 sec.

  • hi
WOW there, this info is only available from third party web sites.
this is due to betfair info available.
greyhound is basic, horse racing is has a lot more info.
if you use betfair a lot and have lots of points then you can download the info free from betfair.

  • Tim, thanks, the time machine does look very good for testing strategies etc. What I was looking for was recent, historical statistical data to make informed decision based on form with a view to perhaps manually choosing my selection and then having MFPRO automatically place the bets throughout the day, I dunno if this is even possible.

Mcbee, thank you, I do use betfair a lot and have a lot of points. I have found data to download, it shows what dogs have won and lost but it doesn't show anything about time form. I have found the data on other websites too but you can only seem to view it by searching for one dog at a time, it would take too long when researching 6 dogs per race per day. If we could get this data in something like a spreadsheet it would be so much easier and could make very quick calculations to help pick out the favorites etc.

Anyway, thank you both for reading and replying.
