  • I am trialling the application and am most impressed with it!

Just a few thoughts on the installation: I installed a Windows system for MF Pro (XP, SP1, SP2).

I installed MF Pro as admin and run it as a limited user.
    • admin had to give the user write permissions for \Program Files\Marketfeeder as the application writes its log and ini files there
    • Start Menu entries had to be moved to "All Users"

I realize that most Windows users probably just run a one-user system as admin. Coming from a Linux background I am just used to a strict separation between root and users.

  • Thank you Smarty Socks, I'm sure this will be very helpful for everyone.

I would also add that on some systems MF Pro would not start because Data Execution Prevention is turned ON:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_Execution_Prevention

In that case it is necessary to turn it off for X-Feeder.

  • Oxa, thank you for your prompt and helpful replies.

Wouldn't the issue I described above be sorted by simply by writing the user data (logs, ini file and whatever else is written at runtime) in the user's "HOME" area \Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data ?
