Test Statement Improvement
« on: 24 Aug 2016, 14:34 »
In the html test statement, can we get an alternate view which is like betfair's profit and loss view.

Where you can see the each sport profit/loss on it's own and how they total up to the bottom line.

Please let me know if further input is needed.

Hi Tim
That is a very useful enhancement to the statement, thank you, and to 1oser for the suggestion.
Can you confirm the market P/L and bet P/L figures are the low and the high in the range for the ticked sports on the designated date?
Please read the following disclaimer with regards to the information you may request and obtain on our forum. This specifically concerns trigger files and various instructions as to how to implement a strategy.

Hi Tim

(I'm only asking as you have the statement part of the programme in your sites at the moment!)

I appreciate that it's a big ask, but would you consider adding a column to the statement that was able to record a user defined variable for each market?

Eg I could add market_volume which would allow me to record how much money was matched on that particular market by the time it was settled.

Or I could add winplace_market_length to allow me to record the market length for each settled bet in horse racing place markets (I know that info is in the market name in win markets, but it's not in place market names)

I could make my own variable which records some info from the time when I placed the bet, and put that into the statement eg when my bet is triggered I make a user variable which record the current match_minute in a football match, so I could check when in a game my loosing bets are firing.

These are just a few examples.  Having as much data as possible at your fingertips is a great way of improving your results, and this addition would open up a lot of new data analysis options.

I imagine that it would require a new tab in the settings options relating to the statement screen, with a check box to fill in with the name of the variable that MFP would then put in the statement file for each market.

Apologies 1oser for hijacking your thread, but I put a suggestion for this into the relevant section of the forum a few months ago and I didnt want it to slip through the cracks.

There are just some TimeMachine markets played with a trigger example ;)
Your idea is great by I'm not sure we'll be able to implement it as we have tied deadline by 13th Sep to make new release.

Yes Tim.

This is pretty much what I am asking for. I see today it's only greyhounds though.

If it's not too much to ask can you do one with soccer, greyhounds, tennis and horse racing. Doesn't have to be these sports, but at least 4 different sports so I can play around toggling the filters on and off.

Market Category Filter is perfect.

Back & Lay Filter does no change the bottom line balance. With or without commission. Don't have the option or please try an fix, it's a very nice touch.

Good job.

Why do you need to recalculate your p/l etc. when you switch off displaying lay or back bets? It's causes changing of your strategy, ruins commission calculation, etc.

only commission would really be ruined .. for me I can live with that. Also there's an option to switch off commission.
