Write to action log avail in statement

It would be nice if you could write to the statement, any write to action log variables.
I analyze a lot of data and it would be handy if i can see any variables at a glance in the statement instead of having to go to the action log and get them from there

Being able to have a user variable column (or 2!!) in the statement files would expand the data analyzing capability exponentially for any of us who religiously record our results and analyse them to improve our performance.
