  • Morning All, is it possible or has anybody tried to use MFPro with the BF historical data that is available ? Want to be able to refine triggers 'offline' as it were.

    Thanks.

  • Hi bym,

We're beta-testing and preparing for release a special tool for back-testing strategies based on BF Historical Data. So you will be able to do this in a short time.

Wow, this is what I'm really looking for. Will that include the dogs as well? Anyway,  I volunteer as a Beta Tester!

  • Yes, we will offer horse races and greyhound markets. I'm including you in the testers list.

  • OXA, around 35% of my bets are 'take sp' but MFP does not seem to recognise this when using the test function?

Also any green up bet placed either before or after the off, which is carried in to the 'in-play' market may not get matched in test mode, even if the real odds on screen fall below the odds I want matched, if my green up bet has been submitted, at say a price of 1.59 and the actual matched price on screeen jumps from 1.60 to 1.55, without anyone actually offering 1.59 in the real market then my bet will get missed, it may then drift rapidly, once again jumping my bet and go on to lose, this abviously shows up as a loss, when in actual fact had I been in 'real mode' I would have got matched and shown a profit...

  • Demon, please open a separate topic in Troubleshooting, this post is irrelevant to Historical Data.
  • #7 by demon on 08 Jul 2013
  • Hi OXA, well the reason I put it here was because I am unable to use the historical data beta tool you are testing because of the very reasons I mentioned, besides there is only you who can rectify this problem and now that you are aware of it, do I need to raise it as a seperate topic elsewhere?

    Thanks, Demon

  • I have already raised this problem in the Time Machine beta thread and Oxa is aware of it.

  • Does the time machine have acces to BF ”time-stamped” data? Thought that wasn’t possible? If so, what will the prices be around for this service?

    Kind regards
  • #10 by Oxa (WellDoneSoft) on 11 Jul 2013
  • Yes, the forthcoming Time Machine software has access to the real BetFair data and will be acting under their Historical Data Licence. We will let you know the prices closer to the release date.

  • I'm ready if you need more testers?
  • #12 by 1oser on 08 Aug 2013
  • i would also be interested in some beta testing  :o ;D
  • #13 by Tim (WellDoneSoft) on 09 Aug 2013
  • Due to BetFair demands we have to make some major changes in our code (data encryption etc.) so the release date of the plugin is postponed (yes, again). Sorry for inconveniences.

  • Hi Tim

Do you still need beta testers for the MFP Time Machine?

If yes, i would be very interested.
  • #15 by Oxa (WellDoneSoft) on 10 Aug 2013
  • Roccobarocco, I added you to the list of prospective testers.
