  • I would like to request a trigger please (if I am eligible for assistance).

I want to eliminate all runners whose price is greater than runner_number+1.

That will leave a number of qualifiers.

I then want to eliminate all runners whose price is less than the remaining number of qualifiers+1.

This should leave from 1 to 4 horses.

If there are more than 4 horses left, no bet.

If 1 of the remaining horses is the favourite, no bet.

I then back the horses left. I haven't decided how I will back these (dutch book or level stakes).

    Example:

    Number of runners is 12.

Eliminate all runners whose price is greater than $13.00.

    This might leave 6 qualifiers.

Eliminate all runners whose price is less than $7.00.

    This might leave 3 horses.

All to be backed, provided that:

If more than 4 left, no bet.

If one of these horses is favourite, no bet.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Hi
Please find attached a trigger file.

Between 1 minute before the off and 10 secs before the off, if all conditions are met it will back remaining selections level stakes.
    Constants:
    ba - back amount
mbo - minutes before the off to bet

I have done a fair bit of testing on it and I think it does what you are after, but please use test mode or Time Machine when testing it.

  • Thanks Mark,

I actually found your reply by accident, as I was expecting it to come up in the public forum.

Clearly I have misunderstood the way the trigger request process works.

    Much appreciated.

  • Hi bobh,

Yes, the topic has been moved to the public board, but it does not always happens immediately as you post your request, as I do it manually upon having a look at the topic. Hope that's not too much confusion.
