  • Hi,

I came across something that looks like a bug in the Market Locator. See attached screenshot. If I run this it will correctly identify both Win and Place markets for GB and IR, but not for AUS, SIN and NZL. Any particular reason for this.?

  • Hi
looks like the Place markets are suspended at the off and the Win markets go in-play
see attached screenshot for the Place market information
corresponding info for Win market says market will turn in-play

so the condition markets will turn in-play filters out the Place markets
I just checked some AUS markets and I'd guess the same applies to NZL and SIN Place markets

  • Thanks,

I removed the condition "markets will turn in-play" filter, so all good now.

However, I'm wondering whether this will have any implications for any green-up strategies in those markets.? Will such strategies behave differently in those market than in the GB/IR markets.?

  • You cant bet in a suspended market, so if the intention is to green up in-play you can only do that if that market will go in-play. From what I can see the Place markets in AUS, SIN, NZL are suspended at the off, so if you want to trade pre-off in those Place markets you should trade out all positions before the off.

It is better to use conditions in your triggers to check the status of markets, whether they will go in-play etc.

  • Hi,

I didn't realize that it will stay suspended for the duration of the race.? I will be monitoring these markets from now on. It just don't make any sense to me to have markets offered on the exchanges that stay suspended for the duration of the race. What's the point.?

There is virtually no liquidity on these place markets, so trading in-play would not be effective.  Even the Aus win markets have huge price swings in-play due to low liquidity.
