  • Hi All

I need some help on VPS's i only a very basic knowledge on them.

I want to move both mine and my parents MFP to a VPS so we can both access our copy of the software remotely and reduce the chance of our home PC's crashing.

We have also had some issues with firewalls not triggering bets.

    My questions are:

Will this eliminate the firewall problem not triggering bets?

Can we both access the VPS separately?

What spec VPS would we need for this?

Any recommendations on the VPS to use?

Is there anyone out there that would be able to set this all up for us for a fee?

    Thank you

  • 1. Never  had problems with firewall.
    2. You will be able to access the VPS separately using the same username/password, but not at the same time.
    3. If in UK use tagadab.com windows server 2012 R2.  1gb memory should run 2 profiles of MFPro, but 2gb better.
    4. I presume you will use 2 separate licenses for MFPro.

  • You can run MFP with only 0.5GB RAM, I started with that, if you want to save money (now I have a bit more).

  • Ok thanks guys

I have put a support ticket into Tagadab to see what they can do to help me set it all up and get up and running.

I'll put a post back in on the outcome.

  • All setup with Tagadab

Setup was much easier than i thought and support was very good.

They advised the base package to start as just going to use 1 MFP account.

Using the 1 week trial and see how we get on.

  • If you have a profitable system, it will make more profit running on a VPS.  After the week's trial you will wonder how you managed to run it on a laptop.  I recommend using the Microsoft RD Client App when you want to check the system from a mobile device.   The interface is almost seamless, whereas, the one most people think of Teamviewer, is very cumbersome IMO.  When you log on from another PC or mobile device, it will close any existing connection.

Male sure you install any outstanding server updates on the VPS and set Windows update to download and advise updates, but not to install automatically.
