Hi Mark,
Following up and regarding the rendering bug in MasterFeeder Pro 8 (where runner graphics appear oversized and color bars are missing in Race View), I have identified the root cause of the issue.
All affected meetings share one common factor: they are exclusively Irish racecourses under Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) jurisdiction (e.g., Thurles, Tramore, Downpatrick, Dundalk, Cork, Naas, Roscommon, Punchestown, Curragh, Limerick, Leopardstown, Gowran Park).
In contrast, British tracks (BHA / Weatherbys feed) display normally. The software currently struggles with the schema differences between the two feeds:
Oversized Runner Graphics (Silks):
Cause: The UK feed delivers pre-scaled thumbnails (e.g., 24×24 or 32×32 px), whereas the HRI feed provides high-resolution transparent PNG assets.
Issue: The UI container lacks fixed constraints (max-width / max-height or strict bounding), causing the UI to render the Irish assets at their native resolution and distort table rows.
Missing Colors on Race View Bars:
Cause: The BHA feed includes direct HEX/RGB values for saddlecloths and runner indicators, whereas the HRI feed either uses different data keys or returns standard text descriptions (e.g., "Emerald green, white cap") rather than a HEX value.
Issue: The parser fails to find the expected HEX code, defaults to null, and leaves the bar uncolored or blank.
Could you please update the software parser and interface layout to accommodate the current HRI data format? Specifically:
Adding strict dimension/scaling constraints (width/height or max-width/max-height) to the runner silk element in the Race View template.
Adjusting the color bar parser to handle HRI color keys or implement a fallback color-mapping routine for Irish fixtures.
Please let me know if you need any additional logs or examples from my side.
Best regards,
Maciej
